I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa surrounded by beautiful landscapes of mountains and vineyards. I migrated here to Sydney, Australia with my family in 2013 and have been working in the childcare profession ever since.
As far back as I can remember I have had a passion for advocating for children and from an early age I knew that no matter what career path I’d end up following, it would be centered around closely working with young children.
The majority of my experience in the industry has been with the Montessori approach to early childhood care and education. I love the child-centered approach to her method, and have personally seen the benefits of the practical life skills instilled through her approach. I completed my Montessori Diploma in 2014 and worked in a Montessori centre for 6 years, while doing so also completing my Diploma of Early Childhood Care and Education in 2018. I am currently studying my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching).
In my free time I enjoy long walks with my dog at our local park, or spending an afternoon in the kitchen cooking and baking delicious foods from a variety of cuisine styles . I’ve also always had a passion for languages and literacy and can often be found with my nose buried in a good book or attempting to express my own creativity through writing stories of my own.
